Note the signature guitar solo of Craig Chaquico that has more of an English-style ending than what was ultimately heard on the recording. This is because, at the time, Craig's early influences were not only the American guitarists that his bandmate Pete Sears had already played and recorded with, such as John Cipollina and Jimi Hendrix, but those that shared Pete's British heritage

“The actual definition of the dancefloor is something that has always fascinated us. It’s a space we express ourselves ultimately. However as huge Adam Curtis fans we’ve always been fascinated with origins and definitions. The complex relationships between subjects and the stories we are told to learn about them. When we started researching the history of the dancefloor and found that Thomas Edison was one of the first to film a dancefloor and that he monetized it in the way he did. We think of where we are at now and ask what have we really learned? That is the concept behind the film for Love and Hate in a Different Time.” - Gabriels

Birth of the Sun was promoted by radio station 2JJ circa 1978 but failed to achieve commercial success due to distribution problems as all the Australian vinyl presses were pressing ABBA albums. Ray works on Hollywood movie soundtracks. The album is exceptional inmho.
